'Hijack'?
All the passengers got scared and raised their hands.
At this moment, a guy from the other end of the plane shouted back,"Hi John!"
What can you do to 'prevent' the above misunderstanding? :)
How 'Smart' are You?
1. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?
The correct answer is: Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe, and close the door.
This question tests whether you tend to do simple things in an overly complicated way.
2. How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?
Did you say, open the refrigerator, put in the elephant, and close the refrigerator?
Wrong Answer.
Correct Answer: Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant and close the door.
This tests your ability to think through the repercussions (or results) of your previous actions.
3. The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend.... except one. Which animal does not attend?
Correct Answer: The Elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator. You just put him in there.
This tests your memory.
Okay, even if you did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance to show your true abilities.
4. There is a river you must cross but it is used by crocodiles, and you do not have a boat. How do you manage it?
Correct Answer: You jump into the river and swim across. Have you not been listening? All the crocodiles are attending the animal conference.
This tests whether you learn quickly from your mistakes.

Think before Acting
She sat down in an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace. Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat down in the next seat, opened his magazine and started reading.
When she took out the first cookie, the man took one also. She felt irritated but said nothing. She just thought:“What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch him!”
For each cookie she took, the man took one too. This was infuriating her but she did not want to cause a scene. When only one cookie remained, she thought: “Ah... What will this abusive man do now?”
Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half. Ah! That was too much! She was much too angry now! In a huff, she took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding place.
When she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her purse to take her eyeglasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened!
She felt so ashamed!! She realized that she was wrong. She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse. The man had divided his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter while she had been very angry, thinking that she was dividing her cookies with him. And now there was no chance to explain herself...nor to apologize.
There are 4 things that you cannot recover.
The stone... after the throw!

Moral of the story: Think about the consequences of your actions before making them. Treasure time now or it will be too late for any regrets.

Chunk-at-a-time!
- A clear 'introduction' paragraph ('when, where, who?')
- 1 or more 'body' paragraphs ('what, how?')
- A 'conclusion' paragraph ('what happened in the end?')
- Grammatically correct sentences
- Appropriate punctuations
Enjoy your very own masterpiece! Although I find the moral of the story to be a little inappropriate, here goes...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
abcdefOne bright sunny day, Desmond was walking outside Xinghua Primary School. Suddenly, he saw something shining on the floor. He took a closer look at the object and found that it was a one dollar gold coin.
abcdefDesmond picked up the one dollar coin and kept it in his wallet. He decided to go to a nearby provision shop to buy a snack. When Desmond was choosing the snacks, he realised that the one dollar coin was missing. He was curious to find out where the one dollar coin went. Hence he ran out of the shop, only to find a girl picking up a one dollar coin.
abcdefDesmond said, “Hi!” with a blushed face. He was staring at the girl until his jaw dropped. The girl was disgusted by Desmond’s actions. She took out a pepper spray and sprayed it onto Desmond’s eyes. She then left the one dollar coin on the floor and ran as fast as she could.
abcdefPoor Desmond immediately ran to the nearest toilet to wash his eyes and cried because he had lost the girl of his dream. The moral of the story is, 'Love is better than money'.

The Genie
A class prefect, a class monitor and their form teacher are walking to the canteen together when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, "I normally grant three wishes, but as there are three of you, I'll give each of you just one wish." "Me first! Me first!" says the prefect. "I want to be in Disneyland, riding roller coasters without a care in the world." Poof! He's gone.
The form teacher says, "I want those two pupils back in the classroom after recess."
Moral of the story: Always let your teacher have the first say.
