Adjectives and Adverbs

An adjective is a word that describes a noun (the name of a thing or a place). For example, beautiful, handsome, sweet, funny, delicious.

An adverb is a word that describes a verb (an action or a doing word). For example, Kenneth ate his breakfast quickly (describing the action of eating).
