When I heard this story from the teacher, I find it shocking, hilarious (funny) as well as sad. Why is it hilarious? This was a very simple matter and yet it was being blown out of proportion just because the culprit refused to own up.
So why is it sad? It is heart-wrenching to see the whole class pointing to an innocent scapegoat, just for the sake of escaping punishment.
- Is the whole class selfish?
- How would you feel, if you are the 'scapegoat'?
- To the culprit, where is your conscience? Where did your heart go?
- Isn't everybody behaving like the cowardly Lion in the 'Wizard of Oz'?
It is absolutely heart-breaking. Everyone, please go think about it. Touch your heart and ask yourself, 'Did I do the right thing? What am I thinking then? Do I feel good about it?'
I do not expect any online comments to this posting. Just read what I've posted and thinking hard about it. We shall come back to this issue back in class when hopefully, everybody's conscience is 'awake'.

I'm glad that everyone has sorted out their thoughts and confessions today. Even though the 'culprit' has finally surrendered, let us all learn to be more responsible for our own actions.
Always put yourself in others' shoes before you do anything to anybody.
