U3: From Parents to Young

• Living things reproduce to ensure continuity (or continuation) of their kind.

• Many characteristics of an organism are passed from parents to their offsprings (or their young). This is known as heredity. (You must be able to give examples of these characteristics)
  
  
• A Family Tree is a diagram which shows the relationship of all members of a family.
  
  
• When the question asks you "What is their relationship?", you must answer by describing their relationship. For example, "J is the father of K" or "M is the brother of N".
